2011 Baseball Banquet

This was the end of year party for the "Lightning" baseball team.
This is Rylee with the coaches, Scott and Monty. These guys were
great to be with all summer and Rylee learned a ton of stuff from them.

They gave out placques. We ate and watched a video that
they put together of pictures of the year. These guys are
a great bunch a people. I am so glad that I was able to get
to know all of them. Rylee made some great friends too.

Las Vegas Raceway Oct 2011

We went down to the Drag Races in Las Vegas this year
and took Rylee this time. This is one of the bikes that we were
able to get up close to. Pretty colorful huh?

Back in the pit area they work on the dragters. It is very loud
and smokey but pretty exciting.

There are alot of people taking pictures and I got this
guy to even give us a pose. He was pretty fun.

Rylee thought this paint job was pretty cool.

We like to pretend that this is our "UNCLE" Tim Wilkerson

This year they had a little dirt track set up to run "Traxxas"
remote control cars on. It cost $1 and they let you run a car or
truck around the track. Rylee had a blast and now wants to save up
his money to buy one. They are pretty expensive little units.

This is one of the models that he drove. Pretty sharp looking

This was the track that they had set up to run on. It was
made up of compacted dirt. They are pretty resilient
as alot of them were crashed into the walls by inexperienced
drivers. They are made to go in snow, ice, dirt, water almost everywhere.

If you can tell in this picture, there is one of the little
cars flying off the ramp and thru the air. The guy show this
was pretty good at making it do flips and then landing back
on all four tires. This was entertainment for the crowd of
people while they were working on the Drag Strip. You can kind
of see the strip in the background.

The weather was great and now that we have the Condo in
Mesquite I am sure that we will be back down for the Spring
races. We are looking forward to this.

Mesquite, NV

This is our new home in Mesquite, NV.
Zac and Cj and the boys helped us move some
furniture down last weekend.

We are the garages in the middle (2 of them).

I am not a good picture taker or else I would have
alot more pics along the way.

THANKSGIVING 2011

We had a great thanksgiving this year!

For dinner, it was just Jim, Rylee and myself, but you
would have thought I was having an entire extended family
over. I cooked enough to fill alot of people. After we ate,
Zac, CJ and the boys arrived.

Tagg played with some dinosaurs while the adults
and older kids played a quick game of "9's".

It was not long and Mackenzie and Blakeley got
here and then we started on our new thanksgiving
tradition. (thanks to Stacy) We made some
count down to christmas calendars.

The kids got right to work on the decorating and
labeling the calendars with the numbers.

Tagg got a little bit of help from his dad.

Rylee was being really creative.

Good thing that Rylee is old enough to do this on
his own cause this is where his dad was after dinner.

Tagg loved the stickers that we had.

Rylee colored his numbers very creatively

Tagg ended up on top of the table in order to reach
his artwork.(I really think that he was reaching for
an extra piece of candy)

I really think that we all had a good time.

We had a great thanksgiving and I think that we
have started a new tradition. Thanks to all that
helped with the Christmas Countdown Calendars.
It made This Grandma very happy!!!

Now for the rest of the story. We are having our
carpet reattached into our master bedroom closet
and in order to do that and have the bedroom carpet
restretched and cleaned we had to move out into
the garage for a few nights. Yes we are sleeping
in our garage.....It will only be for a few nights and
it really is not too bad....Had to post pics so that
the girls at work would believe me.....Doesn't look
too bad, just looks like we are hoarders.....

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A VERY NICE THANKSGIVING.
I know I have a lot to be thankful for.....

Check out this awesome yard sale find that my husband
found for us this morning.....I woke him up early to go and see if
he could find us some furniture for Mesquite and he came
home with this beautiful dining set for our house. Now
I guess we can send our other set down to Mesquite....

THE END OF YEAR BASEBALL!!!

Well this is how our season ended up.....

The 12U Ogden City league championship was won
by our boys last night at the 4th street park.
They played an awesome game and we are
very proud of them.
I did not have my camera with me so this blog
will be a collage of the other games throughout
the past year.....

Getting ready for games in Salina? (I think that
is where we were playing)

One proud papa...(ps, this is before the legs had
a full summer of sun on them, not that they got a
whole lot darker)

Course I am the proud mama. We have been running
all summer long to baseball and it has been a very time

SATURDAY CONTINUED

Saturday....."the rest of the story"

While CJ and I were attending Super Saturday (with Tagg in the Nursery)

Zac was at my house designing and building me a MASTER BEDROOM

WALK IN CLOSET!!! Do I say this with a lot of excitement??? I am so

excited to have a nice big closet....We have a very large bedroom with alot

of wasted space so by adding a wall and then putting in built ins it will be a great

storage/closet space. This will also free up closet space for Jim in the existing

wall closet that we have.

Here you see all of the shelving that he has put in. I am really getting headaches just thinking about
all of the totes of yarn that I can store in there.....

The original walls are painted the green and I wanted to leave

them the way they are and then we are going to paint all of

the shelving white like the trim in our room.

This is the doorway that leads from the bedroom.

This is an awesome shoe rack with slanting
shelves that Zac designed and built. He was
worried about only fitting about 30 pair of
shoes but I assured him that I don't own
even that many pairs of shoes......Guess I
will just have to go shopping for some more...

I am such a visual person that I am sure
I drove Zac crazy with all of my questions.

He had it all designed in his head and knew
that it would work out and now that he has
it built I love it.

Then they had to hang the new door.

This is on the back wall and will hold 5 places for hanging
clothes.....Opps gonna need more clothes cause I don't have
enough to fill that whole wall.

The door was hung in one try.....

After we got done we rewarded everybody with a
wiener roast out back. We got a fire going with all of
the scraps of wood and decided to roast some dogs
and mallows!!!

CJ had to work so she was not there but we had a good
time anyway.

Tagg was glad to have the attention of his dad.

Don't you just love the soft hue of this professional picture.
It is a really cute one of all of them. I sure wish that I
could have focused the camera.....

Saturday the beginning

Christel and I began our Saturday at the 12th ward Relief Society

"SOUPER SATURDAY". I had ordered some christmas

things to paint and of course we had an assembly line all

set up.

This is the christmas tree but we did not have enough time

to finish it completley, We still need to add the accent paper

and then touch it up and glue it all together.

This project we did get completed and I am glad that we did.
It was fun but was a little hard with cuting out the papers.
CJ was worried that I had not been crafting for a while and
was really concerned about the way I was painting. I, on the
otherhad think that they turned out really cute.

I JUST HOPE THAT MACKENZIE IS NOT LOOKING
(cause this may or may not be her birthday present)
We had a good time and the food was delicious.

Way to go 12th ward!!!

birthday/fathers day

We celebrated Jim's birthday and fathers day all in one
this year. I had a co-worker/friend (right Teresa?) pick
this up for Jim as a surprise this year. I hardly ever get
a chance to surprise Jim.

He was really surprised.

Then Zac, CJ and the boys came over and we built a
bonfire in the backyard and roasted hot dogs and had
delicious hot "SMOES"

Gotta love those redneck fires in the back yard.

Cal Ripken Tournament

Rylee was fortunate enough to play with some friends

on the Cal Ripkien All Star Leage. They played in a

tournament in Murray.This is Rylee and Gaje.

This was the room that all of the boys and thier parents

had to meet in to get briefed on the way the tournament

was going to be played....

They gave all the boys souviner bats.

Yes, this is where all the boys find out that your real name
is JAMES and then mom is in trouble.....What were
we thinking???

The rain came down and muddied everything up. It

really poured hard. They had to go and get lots and lots

of kitty litter to mix in with the mud holes. This, in my opinion,

was a very bright idea.... it worked quite well I might add.

These kids had a blast in the mud after all the rain.

Savanah (the little girl) started out in white but ended up

in a nice chocolate brown.....

I am not sure what thier moms thought about this.

COUNTY FAIR TIME

We had to get Tia all spruced up for the yearly county fair pet show. Tia really likes Tagg and so he decided that he would be the one to show her. Besides that Treyson was going to show Rusty. Doesn't she look cute in her "RED WHITE AND BLUE"
Tagg was all cowboyed out but did not have a smile for the camera. This was at 9:30 A.M. and I think it was a little early for him....

Night at the Movies

We finally found a Friday night to go to
a DRIVE INN movie.
Rylee has been wanting to go to one
of these for years. Hence the "deer in the headlights look"

I think that the lastone we went to was when the
72 Chevy Blazer
was still in condition to go. (That was quite a
while ago)

We sat in the back of the truck in lawn chairs and had a gymnastic pad laid down in the bed
of the truck for Rylee to lay on.

We had a really good time and it started to rain just at the very end of our movie. We had just enough time to pack up and
get out of the parking lot.

Thanks Jim for taking us and having a great night out.

West Valley City

This is where our day started out.

We were playing in a Tournament in West Valley City.

Our team did really well. They had to play Thursday night.

Friday night and again on Saturday morning.

We won the first two games and held in there pretty well for the third game.
Well after the second game................... Here we go
We had gotten a hotel room down sort of close to the "Maverik Center" cause our
playing field was not far from there. After the game we were headed up 3500 S to
our hotel so that Rylee could do some swimming in the pool. (this is what he had really

wanted to do all night). We were stopped at a light and all of sudden here come a couple

of cops. We thought well they are going to escort an ambulance or fire truck thru the busy
intersection but NO!!!!! there were about 12 to 15 cops in unmarked and regular cop cars
that came rushing to the intersection. Some turned to the left, some to the right, and some
just flipped a U turn and raced back up the road. Pretty soon here they came back for
a second time. Kind of did the same thing. All the while we were just sitting at the light
watching all of this happen. Pretty soon they came back a third time and then we

realized that this was a high speed chase and they had finally located the car they were

chasing. He turned to the right and headed down past a few strip malls and the cops followed him.
He then proceeded to come back onto 3500 S, only this time he was behind us.

This is supposed to be a picture of the cop car that he took out behind us by pushing him into

a ditch and into a water line that broke and spewed water all over. Then I could see him barreling

up behind us. I kept looking in my side mirror and thought "we are about to be rear-ended".

I think I told everyone to hold on cause here he comes....I looked at the young couple next to us and yelled "he's

gonna hit us" and then I thought I told Rylee to look away as I really thought that the kids next to us would be killed.

They were in a little grey car and no one behind them. He would have hit them straight in the back..But no

He decided to barrel right between us. Unbelievable I could
not believe that there was enough room for him to fit thru there. In hitting the cop car behind us,
he lost his whole front end and maybe that is how he fit between us.

This the the bumper of the car that was running from the cops.
When he hit us it kind of blew apart and there were car parts
everywhere!!!

It tore up our running board and left scrapes
all the way up the side but it was still drive-able.

He raced down between us and kept going. We were traumatized but totally unhurt. There were
car parts everywhere and I was not sure if they were mine or not. I did not dare get out as there
was still a lot happening and it is a very busy street.

He caught our car pretty well all the way up the side and I was not sure if there was any car left.
Well after seeing the damage I really cannot believe that this is all it did. The little grey car
next to us only lost the mirror.


This was the tow truck that was trying to haul the cop car out of the way.

Happenings of the Day

I went home for lunch today and found Jim working with
the Direct TV guy to hook up our new system, Rylee playing
baseball on the phone while dressed and ready for his game
that isn't till 7:00 pm tonight. (this was 12:30, 1:00 mind you)

So I made my lunch, a ham sandwich on pita bread, some pepper
cheese and a couple of apples, in case you cant tell due
to the fact that it all blends into the granite....

This was also going on outside

We are tearing off our old back porch and putting on
one that will look better, we hope.

Looks kind of funny!!

Looks like this is the way it will stay until Monday. They ran
into a snag and need more material from Ogden that they cannot
get today. oh well

and now Rylee is off to Salt Lake for baseball. We will send
him down with Trent and Jim and I will go down after I get off work.

Ragnar 2011

CJ and I were lucky enough to help volunteer at the RAGAR 2011 race this year.
We were "THE V SQUADS" official volnteers.
(Mary Kaye was a volunteer also but she did not get to work with us.

When signing up for your shift you were supposed to go online
to the official volunteer site and choose a shift. I signed onto
the website and saw this shift and thought this was perfect...

X 1:00 to 6:30 at the Morgan High School

So I signed us up for this and soon got an email with our comfirmation.
The only thing that I could see wrong with it was that I thought the shift for the
afternoon and it was actually for 1:00 AM to 6:30 AM by the time that
I realized this it was too late to change. So according to the Clock in the little
car we started our shift promptly 1/2 hour early.....

We had actually left our house at about 10:30 pm cause we were
so excited and did not want to fall asleep and miss our shift. Kenzie's
team was at our house to shower, eat lasagne and just rest so we
did not want to disturb them. We tried to park by the school and go
to sleep but we could not do it.

This was VOLUNTEER HEADQUARTERS (in the middle of the night)

I am not sure but I think that this was us. We were in charge of stopping
traffic and crossing the runners. I had to guide them and get them in and
out of the chutes. Now I am not a runner and don't even profess to know
what running in the middle of the night does to your mind, but some of these
runners were very disoriented.....they looked like deer running into headlights
most of the time. (Good thing we were there to guide them) CJ had to stop the cars
and did alot of dancing. (I even think that her arms were very sore from all the fancy
traffic directing)

This is the lovely gear that we were fortunate to wear. Thanks to Rog for the
fancy headgear that kept me safe from getting ran over. (see the car in the background)
I am sure that they only saw the little head lamp on my forehead and not the very large and
bright florescent vest I was wearing.....

Our truck had a little hiccip going up over RAGNAR HILL and GUARDSMAN PASS.

Jim and I had to go up to Park City the next night and rescue it. This was the very last
chute for the runners as they began their final descent into Park City. I wish that we
could have been there to cheer Mackenzie on to her victory finish.

They had to run down this hill into the last chute.

Here is the poor worn down FORD. Notice the skilled mechanic
climbing into the drivers seat to investigate the damage.

Key in the ingition, baby starts right up.....They had left some
transmission fluid on the floor board (thanks Dr Jed we owe you)

After putting in some more transmission fluid we (the skilled mechanic)
had to check to see how much was in there. We checked many times
before it finally registered.

I am glad that the skilled mechanic was there cause I could not
locate the hole that the big long reader thing had to be put back into.

Good thing I am married to him.

We then rode into town while the transmission fluid was settling.
We went to Maverik and got a drink and some gas and then back
up the hill to start the big truck again and see if we thought we could
make it home. You really hate to be towed out of Park City in shame as
all the runners are running by..... (please note below, others were not
as fortunate as we were and did have to make the TOW OF SHAME)

I tried to take these pictures while driving a stick shift out of town. I just held the camera up to the window and snapped. I was hoping for some nice pics from the finish line. Oopps doesn't look like it turned out like I thought it was going to.

Day in Logan

We had a double header in Logan, UT today.

The park was very nice but it was very hot and
our game was supposed to start at 3:30.....

They had some nice batting cages for the boys to
warm up in.

This I guess is Rylee all warmed up???

Sport-brella that I gor for Mothers Day.
It is so easy to set up and saved my face and arms
from SUNBURN!

Rylee came over and decided to enjoy the shade
before he had to go and endure the sunshine.

Rylee is quite the "Utility Guy" (that means that he can
pretty well play where ever you need him) He does pretty
good at catching.

I love it when is comes up for the big throw to 2nd
base to get the runner.....

I sometimes wonder what he does to fold his legs
up to allow him to crouch down like this.....

Flooding 2011

I decided to take my lunch today and drive around the
county and take some pictures of the water in the county.
This is the river bridge over by riverside park and by the
high school. Not alot of clearance left.

All of the white lining the creekbed are sand bags.
It is no where near the sandbags yet.

nothing gets caught.

Comp Ball

Rylee's competition tournament started on Friday may 13th

and then he played a double header on Saturday.

I think that this is the first time that this coaches legs have seen the sun.
Better grab the sun screen!

Aunt Veda

Pauline and I went to Aunt Veda's 95th birthday party. I have got to get better at taking pictures. I got one picture of her beautiful cake but it sure would have been nice to get one of Aunt Veda!!! arghhhhhhh. She has not changed a bit and they put on a beautiful birthday party. We got to see alot of people in a very short amount of time. We had already visited Aunt Camille for her 83rd birthday in Croydon and then rushed over to Henefer for this shin dig.....We ate and visited for a little bit and then I had to rush to Ogden to a viewing and possibly the end of my son's baseball game. He was in a tournament but I missed it all. I did what I could. It was a really nice day other than more Pics would have been a real plus. Sorry!

BAPTISM FOR BLAKELEY AND BEN

Blakeley was baptized on Saturday, Feb 5, 2010

She was so excited to have everyone there to support her. Thanks to all our family for the support. Blakeley has worked so very hard to obtain this goal. She has been attending church with her home teaching family and has met with the missionaries alot. We are very proud of her.

CREME CHEESE PARTY

The ladies and I went for a little field trip after work one night.

We ended up on the front porch of my neice, Monica for a "Philadelphia Creme Cheese" party.

CJ actually had more fun playing with the new doll house that Eden had just gotten.
LOOK HOW CUTE THIS LITTLE DIAPER BAG IS.....
(CJ does not get to play with girl stuff very often cause she lives with all boys)

This was the really good spanish entree that our host had prepared for us.
thanks Monica for letting us come and thanks to the ladies for
going with me.....We got some good info and some nice prizes.

A NIGHT WITH THE BOYS

Tagg and Treyson come over and spent some time with us while thier mom and dad had some down time.....
Tagg loves the little "Fisher Price" Rescue Heros toys that I have.

Rylee and Treyson were very interested in learning how to run my new cell phone. It has all sorts of cool games on it....

And of course Tagg had to open the cage for the "MONSTER" in my floor. I cannot get him to leave the heater vent alone even tho I told him that a monster lives down there.

He even had Treyson convinced that they should try to wake the monster.....

Then we had dinner.

Then came time for relaxation and TV

Treyson and Rylee still trying to outsmart the video games.

Tagg always likes to get the tub at Grandma's house and play with all my toys....

Finally, after bathtime, TV watching..

Rylee played Jr Jazz Basketball again this year. .

These are the great coaches. One is a little LOUDER than the other one that they balanced each other out.

This is the annual posting of the candles up on the cemetary.
My dad passed away 18 years ago today and every year I try to go
up to his graveside with a candle.

Rylee and Jim went with me this year and they lit the candles while I took pictures.

It was a very cold night and we lit two candles, one for dad and one for mom.
They look so pretty glowing from just beneath the snow.
On our way out, we ran into a doe deer and saw a big white snow bunny running around.

I sure wish that we would have thought about the camera. Would have been a fun picture.

We love you Mom and Dad...

CHRISTMAS EVE MAKING HOUSES

Christmas Eve at our house was very fun this year.
We were able to have all of the kids over and the grandkids.
Also a friend of Mackenzie's and Aunt Norine.
We had the annual opening of the "christmas eve jammies" (sorry kids, not homemade this year)

Maybe I will get started earlier next year and get back to the home made ones.
We made gingerbread houses and Tia loved licking the extra icing off of Tagg's ears.
I think that Tagg liked it too.
Mackenzie put alot of work into her house of gingerbread.
Tagg got away with a lick or two off the top of gingerbread house that was unoccupied.....
Treyson was very proud of his masterpiece, which he worked very hard at completing.....
Rylee was quite proud of his artwork as well.

This was our first year at making gingerbread houses on christmas eve and I think that
we enjoyed it. We might have to continue this and make it a tradition for each year.
Jim also was all decked out and in christmas attire. Check out this

CHRISTMAS MORNING FOR "TIA"

TIA was so excited for christmas this year that she was the first one up (other than the photographer)

She was very diligent in searching her for her stash from Santa
She finally got the toys off the couch only to discover that they were attached to a stupid cardboard that needed a human touch to remove.

Blakeley was able to come up and spend some time with me on Saturday.

Usually when she comes up we have to cook dinner and then it is late enough that
we have to go to bed. We don't really have time to do any fun crafting projects.

Well Saturday she came up and we worked on her blanket that Rylee had given her for her
Birthday. It was a "kit" that you just had to cut and then put knots in it.

Blakeley did most of the knot tying all by herself. She is very proud of the finished project!

Summer All Star Game

This year we were able to get Rylee into swimming lessons. It was at a house just down the street from us and he did really well.

Rylee turned 11 this year. I know I can hardly believe it. We took a couple of friends and headed to TOAD's Fun Zone.

Arrow of Light Award

Rylee was able to receive his "Arrow of Light" award on 09-01-10. It was a great night and we are very proud of our litte scout.
Rylee worked very had over the summer to catch up on his book and because of this he earned about 12 awards all at once. We were always gone for the pack meetings due to the football and baseball schedule that he was holding down.

Well the big Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay race came thru Morgan last night and I was able to be a guest house for Mackenzie's team. Unfortunately I did not get out the camera to take pictures of all the people running in the day light and when it came time for Mackenzie to run it was dark.

The girls pretty well provided everything that they needed. Kenzie brought up lasagne, fruit, papergoods and water the night before. I just had to put the lasagne in the oven to cook before the first load of runners came. They ran in two groups of 6 members each. They each take a leg and pass off to the next runner. They end up running all night and part of the next day. I think that the total number of miles they run is about 188. Whew!!!

We went up to the corner and helped direct traffic so no one got hit while running and had a really good time. We came back home about 1:00 am. Kenzie finally called and said she was stuck in traffic in Henefer so we went to bed. I think they got here about 2:30 am and they took showers and had something to eat and then crashed on the couches and floors for a little while before heading out to meet up with thier team and do their last leg of running. Over all I think it was a good expierence. Someone said that there were 1000 teams of 12 or so this year. Wow that is a lot of people

AIRMED in Morgan

Airmed from the University of Utah came to Morgan today. They were coming to do a training with our emergency department.

Lucky for me, I work at the court house and was notified of this so I could round up my grandkids and we could go an watch it come up the canyon and land on the lawn of the Library/Senior Citizen Center.
Here it comes..........
Some of us got a little too close and it blew our lovely hairdo's. (sorry Stacy)
This is CJ, Treyson and Tagg right up close to the actual helicopter. They gave out pins and stickers to all the kids. It was awesome.
Believe me, it is way funner to see the Airmed helicopter like this and any other way. Thanks for sharing with our little town of Morgan and thanks for all you do for those of us that need your services.

Rylee's Utah History Fair

After we attended Treyson's school event we went over to Rylee's Utah History Fair. He is proudly displaying his booth.
He did his fair project on the "Baron Woolen Mills" in Brigham City Utah. We were able to find a wool sweater that my mother had knit. (He was wearing it but soon found out that wool is very warm) We also found socks and golves that she had knit for my dad. Then we found a wool rug that mom and dad used to pick up from the Baron Woolen Mills when they took thier sheep wool up at the first of the year. We also found a really nice new woolen blanket that actually was in the wrapper marked with Baron Woolen Mills. How cool is that? We went to the internet and pulled off some information about when it was built etc. It was actually built by Pres. Lorenzo Snow! He also found some pictures of when the sheep get sheered. It was fun project and was fund to show him all of the things that my mom and dad did with wool.
Way to go Rylee. Good Job!

Treyson Pre-school day

On Thursday we attended the end of year pre-school celebration for Treyson. This is him telling everyone his name.
They sang some really cute songs and had actions and props with them.
This song is about bubble and bathtubs. Very Cute!!
The kids were all so excited to see thier moms and dads and grandparents. Teacher Melanie does a really great job and the kids love her for years to come.....Thanks Teacher Melanie

THE BIG HIT

Rylee is playing on a Competition Baseball team this year and is really learning alot.

These boys pitch pretty hard and fast. He has been hit a couple of times this spring and therefore backs out of the box when he gets up to bat. (I can't say as tho I blame him.) anyway

the coaches are really working with him on the batting and back out thing.

This is a video of a big hit that he had on Saturday. I am so very proud of him and he was so excited. It did not go over the fence but hit just below one of the banners. Almost a home run. Anyway it was fun to see his face.

SPRING RIDE

For our Sunday afternoon today we decided to pack the Jeep with some drinks and snacks and head out for a ride.

Rylee still fits good in the back seat.

We rode up to East Canyon.

Stopped at "Mormon Flats" (I think that is what it was called)

And even got out to let Rylee clean the monument a little. Someone had coated it with mud, so he of course took the sleeve of his freshly washed hoody and cleaned it.

It was "The Road to Zion" that told about th pioneers.

There is a little foot bridge to take you over the creek

And head you up the mountain for a great hike. Of course it is still a little chilly to be taking the hike so we headed over to Park City on the Jeramy Ranch Road. It is still pretty rough because they have not graded the road yet.

It was not all green and pretty but we did see alot of people and their dogs using the road. Oh and there were a couple of cyclists as well.

Snow Basin

Mackenzie took a 2nd (or 3rd) job at snowbasin this year so that she and Blakeley could go skiing. I think that she enjoyed herself and was able to meet some really nice people. Anyway Sunday was there last day and they had a live band and hot dogs and bratwurst and everything so Jim and I took the convertable and rode up and spent some time on the mountain.

It was a beautiful day and was really quite warm.

Easter

Because of the weather being so cold for Easter we decided to have an egg hunt in our house.

Treyson and Tagg and Rylee all went and hid while CJ and I hid some eggs. Then the hunt began.

We had to help Tagg find some but they each got some eggs filled with candy and even some with monitary prizes.

This was Rylee doing the traditional easter egg dying. We tried something new this year and it was supposed to work out really cool. It was like putting little bits of foil on the already colored eggs. Yeah it did not work so good. oh well there is always next year.

"The Haircut"

I have finally talked Rylee into getting his haircut. With Baseball starting up and everything he finally said "Mom maybe it is time" (I was secretly very excited) so we headed over to CJ's and got all ready in her kitchen. Treyson was excited and had to take off his shirt to be like his uncle rylee.

Rylee became a little concerned with the first pass up the back of his lovely long hair. He almost started to cry and said to me, "Mom I thought we were just gonna trim my bangs" oops I had no idea and I thought that we talked about a full on hair cut. Oh well, too late now. The damage was done. CJ had to finish up now.

And pretty much the finished product. I think that it looks much better and Rylee will get used to it. Thanks CJ.

St Patricks Day

This was our traditional St Patricks Day Dinner. It was a little bit different
this year because my mother always cooked my corned beef for me. I hate to admit it but
I did not know how to cook corned beef. I tried one on Sunday that I cooked in the oven all day and it was pretty good but was not the traditional one with the cabbage and potatoes.

Then I found a recipie for a corned beef cooked in the crock pot and I thought that
sounded pretty easy. So I threw everything into the crock pot and this is how it turned out.

Can you believe that Rylee will eat Corned Beef and Cabbage? He is a very picky eater but when this meal is served he is the first one to the dinner table.

All in all it was pretty good but I sure do miss my mom cause her corned beef seemed to be more moist and had a better tase. Love ya mom

For the past couple of weeks, Jim and I have been remodeling (once again) We decided to take out the wall between our kitchen and living room and make it into a great room.

This is looking from the kitchen into the living room. Notice my favorite diamond window was left unharmed. There is a family story that goes along with that window.

This is our new gas fireplace. I was so excited to use this and wouldn't you know, the day it was installed it snowed again. I think that this will be my favorite room in the house in the winter time.

New living room furniture delivered finished the job.

I think that we are done, at least until we can start the outside.....jk honey

Yeah, Tagg turned 2 on Feb 8th and we had
a great party. His mother made it extra fun with
Mickey Mouse decorations and even made
this beautiful cake. CJ you are getting pretty good with the fondant but the hat and ears are especially nice!!!!

Blakeley was spending the night with us so she got to attend the party.

I am not sure but I think that Tagg is headed
for his terrible twos..... Shhhhh don't tell his
mother. He used to be the quiet little angelic
one of the bunch but now if he is out or your sight
for even a second this is the kind of destruction you
might find......
He decided that he needed to get the chips off the
cabinet and then dumped them onto the floor.

They were easier to eat that way.....

Then while we were cleaning the kitchen mess up

he headed to the living room where he

proceeded to tip over my antique rocking chair

that came across the plains with my dad's grandmother. (hey wait that would be my great-grandmother, right?) anyway he thought that was a great place to hide and that we probably could not see him.....

So I decided to try to slow them down with some fresh baked cookies and milk at the bar right where I could keep an eye on them.....

2010 Basketball in Action

The new year of Basketball has begun.
This was Rylee's 2nd game. They have a fun team this year and they are learning alot.

I sure wish that I could learn how to take good action shots.

New Years Eve

This was our NEW YEARS EVE celebration this year....

We had plenty of Diet coke to drink and played a few rounds of UNO attack.
We had all of the healthy snacks at our fingertips. Little smokies, cubed up cheese and olives. What more could you want..

Rylee was trying to act cool with his color coordinated tooth pick in his mouth.

We even had supervision from "Tia" to make sure that the score card was recorded right and that no one cheated.

The only problem with the whole night was we finally crawled into bed about 11:30 pm to watch the ball drop in New York and I don't think that one of us was able to stay awake for it. Oh well I guess there is always next year.

News Eve Memorial for DAD and MOM

This year it was even more special to take the candles to the cemetary and light them as it was in honor of both my DAD and my MOM. Mom passed away in May of 2009. I took the traditional little christmas tree (the one that mother always put on the grave for dad) and also a couple of candles. Pauline and Randy brought up the beautiful wreath. It is pretty cool to ride up there at night and see the candles burning and all lit up. We love Mom and Dad.

17 YEARS

It has been 17 years ago on
12 31 09 that my dad passed away.

We have always tried to take a candle
up and light it on New Years Eve in rememberance
of his passing. Jim is seen here trudging thru the snow and
lighting that candle. There was about three times more
snow the year that he passed away. I miss you Dad and
love you very much.

NEW TRADITION "CHEX"

This is something new that I tried this year. There are a ton of different Chex Mix recipies.
I made the traditional one first. You know the one with the garlic, worchestershire sauce, and nuts and things.
Turned out pretty yummy!
Then I tried this special K cereal thing that really did not look good, but it sure got eaten up pretty quickly.

Then I tried a new fruity type of chex. It consited of craisins, corn chex, yogurt covered raisins, dried apples and had a sweet kind of sticky stuff over it. It was actually pretty good. I really liked eating it and running into a dried, fruity, crunchy apple.

CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATING

Contrary to some people's belief, I did put up a Christmas Tree this year.

Treyson and Rylee did the decorating. We used all of the ornaments that Jims aunt has given us over the year.

Aunt Marion gives each family an ornament each year and I have saved them all and put them on this year. It was a beautiful tree. Thanks for the tradition Aunt Marion.

Rylee is pretty proud. He really likes to decorate the tree.

Treyson was more than a little concerned that Grandma Shirlee still had some

Halloween stuff up. Oh well Halloween will be back next year, right?

Boys (and girl) night out

We were able to get some Weber State Basketball

Tickets from some friends of our (Thanks Patti and JD).

So Rylee took a friend and we headed out to the game.

It Started out at Wingers where the boys ate the big person

dinners and Jim and I shared an appetizer.

Then on to the game. The seats were awesome, about 6 rows up just behind Weber's team. As you can see the boys were pumped..

This was the score at half time. Weber did an awesome job.

Unfortunatley I let Rylee have the camera for a little bit.

DAY AFTER BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING

Jim and I went to the Shelf Reliance store in Layton to exchange some shelving that I had bought a few years back. They have rented a store in Layton just for this weekend. And they have come up with this new shelving idea.....

It helps people like me with shelves that look like this..............

They are very easy to put together, they come boxed

and you just have to measure your cans and snap them together.

AND WAH LAH!!!!!!!!!! just like magic your cupboards and shelves can look like this!!!!!!!! (of course this took me a little longer than it said it would on the package and now I have to rearrange all my other cupboards. Oh well it was worth it and best of all..........THEY WERE ON SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Jim was rushing thru the ads to see if he could find deals at sears

The Stuffin' Muffin's were being prepared with care
Too bad Uncle Boyd would not be here to share

But wait, what is this? Is something the matter???

The fridge needs Waxing, someone said in a chatter.....(I don't wax my cars and I cannot believe that I have to wax my fridge)

While Aunt Pauline scooped pickles and poured diet coke

Grandpa waited on the couch for someone to poke (get it? with his cane)

Everyone came as soon as they heard, to partake of the potatoes, gravy and the big bird

The Hostess (that's me) was glad that all could attend

and everyone said it was good and they all said AMEN!!

MOM'S Birthday

Today, November 14 would have been Mothers 85th birthday.

As you can see they got her date of death put on her headstone and all is good. I can hardly believe that it has already been 6 months. It still does not feel real to me.

Rylee and I went and took some Happy Birthday Balloons up to put on her grave.

As you can see we have gotten our first snow storm of the year. I don't know how long the balloons will last but I want to wish her a Happy Birthday anyway.

We love you Mom and miss you alot!!!

Last Football Game

We got to play in the finals for football this year.

We played Logan and Rylee got to go in as one of the captains on the coin toss.

The game was pretty good but we made

3 touch down runs that were all called back due

to penalty's or errors.

We lost the game 13, to 6

but they fought and played hard.

What a great experience for the Boys.

Way to go guys, you had a great season.

And what can I say for the coaches....

this is our first experience with football and

they were all really awesome. Totally there for

1st Day of Pre-School for Treyson

Mackenzie hosted a wonderful, "Under the Sea"
birthday party for Blakeley.
She is now 7 years old.

She had a lot of friends there and they played in
the back yard.

Her mother made her a cute beach cake.

First Football Game

Rylee's first football game was held down at
Roy. It was very, very, very, hot. Jim had to go
to Wal-Mart and get an E-Z up tent thing for us to
sit under. Thanks Jim.
The team played good.

Property Remodel

In the Beginning............
Kip and Jim had to mastermind the production to
know where to start.

This is some of the equipment that was used.

Here we go, over the edge to begin making an
entrance.

These are the initial cuts. We should be able to
put the water tank up on the top and then a trailer
on the next pad.

This is what it looked like when we had to leave
for the day. Down where the backhoe is working will
be a large pad for a cabin (way in the future).

In this picture you can kind of see where we are
in retrospect to the trailers at Boyd and Pam's

We had a really fun day just Jim and I watching
Kit work his magic on the hillside. I am sure that it
will be alot different when we get back up there
and see the final work. It might even have gravel on the road.

This is the backed up traffic we ran into trying to

get up Weber Canyon. As we were waiting our turn

in line, a man pulled up to the side of us and told us

that something was leaking really bad. We knew

exactly what it was. Tranny fluid.....arghhhhhhhhhh

It was really hot waiting in the traffic, about 101 degrees.

So we pulled off to the side of the road and let it cool

down and then started it and raced up a little bit,

(making alot of people mad in the process) and then took

the exit to the South Weber Park and ride. We sat there for

about a half hour and then raced to the

freeway entrance and made it up the canyon. It probably

took us an extra hour or so....but we made it home and had

a pretty fun day.

Back to School

Yeah, the first day of school!!!

We seem to always have some sort of tragedy
right before school starts. This was a result of the
pedal falling off his bike and him taking a dive.
luckily it was only his right leg and elbow. No facial
wounds.

So I decided to do a major "HGTV" room makeover.

Blakeley came and helped me out and we redid Rylee's

bedroom.

See how boring the befores are?

And pretty messy.

TA Da!!! I think we did good.

Cleaned it all up and gave it a new outdoorsey

feel.

He loved it!!!

Then the boys came over just as we were

finishing up supper and Tagg climbed right up

with "PAAA" and ate the rest of Rylee's plate.

And Treyson could not be outdone.

All together we had a good first day of school.

I think that I will be a little lonely this year

but I am sure that I will find something to take

up my time.

Rylee's family birthday part

We had a family birthday party for Rylee to have Cake and
Ice Cream on Sunday.
Treyson and Tagg came over.

Grandpa, Grandma Wilkerson, Dakoda, Colton and Oaklee came

Kelly and Rocky were also there.

The boys had a good time playing basketball.

Even the little ones got to play.

Then we had cake and Rylee blew out his Candles.

10 of them all. I think that a little wind helped him out.

Pam and Boyd and the girls were also there. Mackenzie

Rylee 10th Birthday

Rylee's 10th birthday was held at "Toads Fun Zone"

He was able to take a couple of friends with him and they
played laser tag, played in the arcade and then played
mini golf.

Garrett and Rylee raced on the motorcycles.

They also tried out the dancing machine.

Pauline and Randy went up to the Unitahs camping
and asked us to ride up and have breakfast with them.
we left about 6 am and took the drive up thru Kamas.
It was a nice ride and there was a big bicycle race going on.
Good thing that they were coming towards us so that I did not have
to try to dodge them with the sun in my eyes.

This is what we saw right in the campground as we
were pulling in. I big bull and cow just grazing. I
wish that I had taken a better picture. They are
actually eating right in the middle of all of the camping
trailers and tents.

It was a beautiful morning.

We got there just in time. Randy's brother and family
were just getting breakfast ready. Coincidence? I think not...

After breakfast we sat around the fire and talked.
It was chilly enough to need a jacket.

Wow I bet you cannot tell that this is his first time
FISHING. You should have seen him after going
into the store and buying his first "2 DOZEN WORMS"
He was so excited..

The sisters went down and sat on a rock. We just

watched the drowning of the worms...

Tia was worn right out. I think it was the altitude.

She really did not have to work really hard at anything

while we were there but she likes her morning nap.

We had a really good time and thank Pauline, Randy

Gary and Diane for letting us join them.

We hope to return the favor soon.

COUNTY FAIR

Ahh the good ole County Fair. CJ talked me into going up for the kids games on Friday. It was actually very nice. They had some great kids games. I got to see some people that I had not seen in a while.

This was a "kid wash" it was like a car wash and they could run thru it and cool off. Treyson loved it. It had sponges hung and then some wet strips hanging down. Who ever had this idea it was a great one. Tagg on the other had did not think this was so fun. He would not go thru it.

I got to visit with Tim, Stacy and Bob. We sat in the shade and had a great time.

While I was visiting, Tagg decided that he would get brave and he did run thru the
"KID WASH" I did not have my camera with me to take the pics of him actually in the wash but this is the aftermath.

They had an awesome lady doing some pretty cool face painting. You had to stand in line quite a while but it was worth it. I had one like this done for Rylee in Disneyland and it cost me a fortune.

Treyson sat very still but oh he really did want to see what was happening.

He wanted fire coming out of the mouth and also people burning in the fire. CJ and Zac you better watch this one.....

Then we went and walked thru the animals. I remember when they were not so tame. This one about came thru the fence and licked Tagg. He did not like it when it got so close. It started to eat my stroller when I was not watching..

Then they had a little pen that bunnies were running around in. The kids could climb in there and try to catch them. They hop pretty slow but are pretty hard to grab. Treyson tried to talk this little girl into grabbing him one.

Treyson finally got one.

Tagg liked to pet them but did not want to hold one.

Cotton Candy was a hit. CJ put some in Taggs mouth and I thought he was going to hurl. Then when she was not looking he grabbed a whole handful.

He was not sure what to do with it....

He finally learned that if you lick it, it disappears.....and it tastes pretty good!

Now for the clean up.....Tagg get some wet wipes and get started..

All in all we had a pretty good day at the fair. Jim and I rode back up in the evening and ate some fair food. It is really nice the way they do it now so that you don't have to pay to get in just to the Rodeo part of the fair. You can go in and view all the exhibits and eat and visit and spend money that way. Way to go Morgan!!!

SPLASH PARK

Monica had a great idea for all of us meet down at the South Ogden Park. They have a great little water play area there for the kids. We got there about 10:30 and it was already full. I guess everyone else had the same idea. It is a great park and when the trees get mature it will be nice and shady. We need to see about doing something like this in Morgan. We have a beautiful park with already mature trees. It would be awesome....

This is Eden. Pauline's granddaughter and Monica's daughter. She had a blast.

Pauline and I had to leave early so we only stayed for a couple of hours. But we would have stayed longer and played. It was nice and warm, (hot actually) and very fun.

Camping

We went camping up to Lava for the 24th of July. Mackenzie and Blakeley were able to come and spend a night with us.

Zac and CJ and the boys rode up on Saturday just for the day.

Tagg was very dirty in less than 1 minute.

Zac got to sleep a little bit until Little Tagg decided he needed a KISS...........

Then we got out the BB Gun and Treyson and Zac took aim at some targets.

I think that Treyson even hit some of them.

We had a really good time and hope that we can do it a couple more times this year before we have to haul everything back home...

All Stars Game

This is our second day at the Morgan All Stars Baseball games. We had to finish our game from last night because it got to dark to finish playing. Then we had to play another game.

We ended up loosing both games that night and that made us 2nd runner up but the kids had a good season and learned alot. Thanks to everyone that helped out.

Lagoon Again

We were able to go to Lagoon again with our passes. They sure are nice when you don't have money but want to do something. We go for a couple of hours and then can come home cause you know that you can go back another day. Anyway, We went with Kenzie and Blakeley this time. We had a good time and it was not really hot. We ran into some friends from Las Vegas that we had not seen in a long time. It was good to see Herb, Taryn, Kailey, Jordan and Jace. They have sure grown. Sorry we could not visit longer but Rylee had to get back for All Star Baseball game.(see next post)

RAPTORS GAME

We went to the Raptor's Game in Ogden the other night. It was Morgan City night. We met Pauline there and really had a good time.

I am a little late in posting these pictures. We actually went to Lagoon for the first time this summer on June 23, 2009. It was a perfect day. It was a little overcast so it was not too hot.

Treyson got to drive the cars.

He rode the helicopters. Camo of course.

You should have seen Treyson's face.

Then CJ and Treyson rode on this water ride and it got stuck in the hot sun and they could not get off. It took about 15 minutes for them to get it so that it would release their seats....

Tagg was very comfy with the new little lion that Rylee won for him by throwing baseballs.

Way to go Rylee.

We really had a good time. I hope that we can go alot this summer.

Fourth of July Camping

We went camping for the "Fourth of July" up to Lava.

Pam and Boyd cooked us breakfast.

This is Mackenzie not wanting the papprazi to follow her to the hills. "hey I don't have my makeup and hair done"

Lexie also brought beauty to the mountains.

Now Pam the "LUMBERJACK" knows how to camp. She was determined to cut this piece of lumber into small tiny toothpicks.

She could even build a fire with only paper, no matches. (the embers were still warm from an earlier fire)

For ole "Eagle Eye Wilkerson" to shoot at. (he actually hit cans shooting like this.)

Then........Rylee decided to wreck on the 4 wheeler. You really cannot tell but he left the road, shot up about a 4 foot embankment and jumped his bike right next to the big pine tree. We are very glad that he was not hurt.

Rylee, the next day decided to go flying off a 50 foot cliff. Thank heavens for Choke Cherry trees being so dense and strong. They held his bike about 15 feet from the road. Rylee was able to bail off and grab onto some tree branches and was not hurt at all. Jim and I had to winch the bike back onto the road with the ranger. What a scary episode....

Shanalee and Ansley Drombrosky (Arnold's daughter and grandaughter) flew in from Alabama to visit with mother on Thursday. This trip was planned before we had the hospital incident with Mother. It was great to see them. Ansley is an absoulute doll and loved to laugh with Jim.

I hurried and took a picture of grandma and greatgrandma before bed.

Extended cousins came to visit. Tagg is here with his usual funny face smile.

We had our 1st "weiner roast" of the spring/summer on Tuesday night. JIm and Rylee built our traditional fire in the rocks out back and we roasted hot dogs. It was still a little chili but nothing like the big snowstorm that hit Morgan today....We had a nice time roasting them anyway. The pictures are not the best because I was taking them from the bedroom window and was on zoom x 3.....

EASTER SUNDAY

Easter Sunday we had the boys over for an easter egg hunt. It was a pretty nice day so we hid eggs all over the back yard and then turned the kids loose to go and find them. Treyson was "eggcited" cause his had money in it. Tagg really did not care and Rylee was mad cause we hid some in really hard places for him to look for. Any way we had a "HAPPY EASTER"

We're Back

We have been to Disneyland and are back already. The trip went pretty fast. (I knew that it would) We kind of got a rough start. For some reason I came down with a case of the hives on Wednesday. I went to the clinic and got a shot to get rid of them. I was also taking alot of bendryl. They got a lot better and I worked on Friday. Friday night as I was getting things ready to go, Rylee and Jim had gone to a basketball game with Richard and I was home alone. I was almost done packing and Kenzie got home about 8:30. She immediatley noticed that my face was really swollen and I had started to itch again!!! argh!!!!!!!!!!!!! we got in the car and ran down to the ER where they treated me with a bag of IV fluids and gave me a prescription for an EPI pen and other things. We got home about 1:30 am. I felt alot better. Kenzie and Blakeley got packed and we headed out for the airport about 8:30 on Saturday. Other than being drugged and going on rides I did not have any more problems. Thank goodness!!

We headed to the beach first thing and the kids went nuts. It was not really that warm but we let them play anyway.

We had bought a pass for a shuttle to take us into Disneyland, and it came around every 20 minutes. We got in line but it was pretty full. We were walking back to the lobby of the hotel to wait for another shuttle and this limo driver came up to us and asked us if we had missed our bus? We told him sort of. He said, " For $10.00 he would take us to the main entrance of Disneyland". We thought that was pretty cool so we climbed in. You should have seen the people try to get a glimpse of who was important enough to be taken to the front gate in a limosine. He was very nice and gave us his card and told us that for $10.00 he would take us anywhere we wanted to go. It was really fun.

The Disney Characters were all over inside the front gate as you went into Disneyland. Blakeley got alot of autographs and pictures. Rylee already had a lot of autographs so he just wanted the pictures.

We had a really good time and nothing else went wrong. We got home safely and that is really what matters. It really is the "Happiest Place on Earth".

Tagg is one year old. We had a great party at Zac and Cj's and he had alot of fun. He is such a happy little guy.

Grandma Richins was there to do her traditional "Roodle Doodle Doo" (which Taggs loves).

The cake was really good. Tagg got a cake all of his own and he loved it. Treyson ate alot of the decorations off of the big cake. CJ made the cake all from scratch (and some boxes) and was very proud of it.

He is lucky enough to have 7 Great Grandparents at this first birthday party. They are Lee and Veloy Dickson, Ben and Luanne Rich, Florence Mae Richins and Ellen and Jim Wilkerson. Thanks to everyone for coming and making this night great.

Dad was pretty brave to get this close, within grabbing range!

Grandpa Jim gave the traditional Noisy Popper toy that he always gives to the grandchildren. For some reason, the noisy toys always seem to disappear.

ANIMAL PUNISHMENT

Or should I say "OWNER PUNISHMENT" Tia was left in the kennel a little longer than she usually is and I guess this is her way of paying me back. She kept getting out of her bed and I followed her a couple of times and then I finally fell asleep. When Jim got up the next morning this is what he found.

She had gotten into all of my yarn and scattered it throughout the halls.

Good thing we really have grown fond of this little puppy.....

She even tried to eat one of the hooks as you can see in this picture.

SUPER BOWL PARTY

We had a great Super Bowl
Party. CJ and the boys came over and we cooked "Lupia", French Fries, and Lil Smokies. Treyson kept stealing Grandpa's lil smokies. He really liked them.

Then Tagg had a major diaper fiasco because he is on a heavy duty dose of antibiotic. Looking at this picture, you would not realize that he is even sick. Anyway we decided that they both could benefit from the bath tub. Tia even decided that she needed to bath.

Then at half-time Treyson decided that we needed to have a game of Nerf Darts. Hence the lovely Nerf vest.

Finally Tagg went to sleep and we got to watch a little of the game. It was fun to have the kids over and we missed Zac. Oh, the game was pretty good too.

A couple of weeks ago, (I can't remember when) we had a Pack Meeting. It was an "Arrow of Light Ceremony" We had 4 or 5 boys earning their arrow. It was an awesome night and the leaders put in a lot of work to get this done. The boys were excited.

Lunch with Mom

Saturday we had a nice lunch at Mothers house. Monica, Eden and Pauline came up and brought soup bowls. Mother made a cake and I had put some soup into the crock pot before I left for work that morning. We visited and ate lunch and had a a reall good time. Then we went over to Shirlee's house and played bowling on the WII. It was a very nice day.

Happy New Years Eve to everyone.

My sister Pauline had surgery earlier this week and so I took mom down to the hospital to see her today. Mackenzie had taken Rylee and Blakeley up to Snow Basin to go snowboarding and skiing. We were just going to visit Pauline for a little bit and then head up to the mountain to pick up the kids so that Mackenzie could go skiing a little on her own. By the time we got there Rylee had been up and down a couple of times and Blakeley was doing quite well and Mackenzie decided not to go on her own.

The kids really had a good time and Mom and I enjoyed the day also. She was glad to be able to get out of the house today. It was 16 years ago today that my father passed away. It was nice to be able to spend the day with mom and my sister, even tho she was in the hospital.

FAMILY HOME EVENING

Tonight we made Christmas cookies for family home evening.
I found the good old recipie on the blog of Pioneer Woman.
They are the exact cookies that we used to have when I was young.
They were so good that we did not even have to frost them.

Blakeley, Rylee, Jim and I were all available to help with them.

Moving Day and Stringing Cranberries.....

We decided to do the old fasioned christmas garland by stringing popcorn and cranberries. Well I did not feel like hanging "BUTTER LOVERS" popcorn on the tree so I tried using "Corn Pops" they actually worked out better and looked really cute. Grandpa helped and Rylee took pictures. It was a good Family Home Evening.

I tended the boys while Jim went and helped with the moving. First they moved Lee and Veloy out of the house and into their new home and then they had to bring all of Zac and CJ's things from the shop back to Lee and Veloys. It was a pretty long day but the boys and I got along pretty good. Treyson had a good time trying to build a train while Tagg kept trying to tear it down. I can see why we are to raise our children while we are young. I was pretty worn out and really had not done anything....

Grandpa did stop in to help out a little by feeding Tagg.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Today is Mother's (Florence Mae's) 84th birthday. I wanted to take her out for a really nice steak dinner at the Outback Steak House. So I took the afternoon off work and Jim and I took her to Layton. Who knew that the "Outback" did not open till 4:00 pm. Oh well. We went to the "Lone Star" instead. We got mother a really nice filet mignon steak with a nice salad and a "twice baked potato" (which was a new menu item) and thought that it would be a great meal. Mother would have rather gone to the "Sizzler" but I told her no that we wanted to go some where really nice. Well her steak was very dry and grainy and the twice baked potatoe was very small, dry and tasteless. So much for trying. anyway I mentioned this to the waitress and the manager came over and comped her steak. All in all she said she had a nice day.

After we ate I took her to visit with Jean Richins and they had a great time catching up.
